The fine-glide stage guides, casters, and coarse positioning mechanisms are adjusted and cleaned.

All bearings (ball bearings, cartridge bearings, recirculating ball bearing assemblies) are inspected, adjusted, replaced, and/or lubricated where appropriate.
The station is thoroughly cleaned inside and out.
